As usual, a regular meeting was conducted by hybrid in Lifelong Learning Center and Zoom Meeting.
In this meeting there were two guests. Both of them participated in short speeches during the table topic session, and they enjoyed the meeting.
From Omiya Toastamasters Club members, there were 10 members that participated in this meeting. All of them took charge of their role, and they did a great job in this meeting, so this meeting can be successfully conducted.
There was a session where participants could give a short speech by answering a question in the table topics session. The table topics master is TM K.T.-san that gave the participants an interesting topic that is about “Golden Week Vacation”.
There were two speakers that took charge in the prepared speech session.
The first speaker is TM Nao-san with the title of her speech is “大人の学び”.
It was a wonderful and inspirational story from her. She shared her story with her childhood friend and her adventures overseas, such as in Sweden and America. From her stories she tells us that learning is important and everyone can do it everywhere and every time.
The second speaker was TM Yossy who tells us about his interesting story of his life adventure with the title of his speech was “My Journey”.
He worked for a multinational company, and he realized that communication in English is important, so he decided to improve his English skills by joining Omiya Toastmasters Club.
That is a wise decision and may inspire another member to improve their language skills.
The last session is the evaluation session where all members that are in charge in their role will be evaluated and given feedback so they can improve their skills in the future.
In this session TM Gakky was a general evaluator, while TM Akemi-san evaluated TM Nao-san's speech and TM Kei-san evaluated TM Yossy’s speech.
All of them gave the speakers some impressions of their feelings about the speaker’s speech, and they also gave some improvement points so that the speakers can improve their speech in the future.
The next regular meeting will be held on May10th.
